Level Design and Development

Teef (Unreal Engine Top Down Shooter)

Overview

As part of this project I was created a  level for this framework within Unreal Engine.

After creating layouts within photoshop, I began blocking out the level and meshing each section of the map independently.

In the early stages of layouts, I would regularly test that not gameplay elements would break with my map, such as the player leaving the map or enemies getting caught on obstacles.

What I Learnt
1)Improved my Unreal Editor map meshing and creation skills.

2)Improved my skills in photoshop and creating design documents.

3)How to create an immersive environment outside the main gameplay area.

4)Improved level design skills.

5)Designing levels for enemies and weapons, making sure they all operate consistently within my map.
